This was the centre pages of a the Hawkwind “Amazing Sounds, Astonishing Music” tour in 1976.
They were definitely NOT channelling what Frank Zappa described as “pouched-out succulence”.

Saw them on that tour, own the booklet and album.
Thanks for the nice picture, although come summer there will be lots of british tourists dressed like that here in Berlin.
At least Paul Rudolph (great guitarist, boring bass player) pulled his gut in.
