Those of you with £850,000+ burning a hole in your pocket might be interested to know that Fish has just put his house on the market. It includes the studio where he worked on his last few albums, and is also the location of his Fish on Friday videos.
The Rightmove description doesn’t say if the gold and silver discs in one of the pix are part of the deal, but they do look nice on the walls, and overall the house seems rather lovely.
If I was able to, I’d snap it up.

He was on a Word in Your Ear podcast talking about how he was retiring from live work to live on a farm in, IIRC, The Hebrides.
@Gatz
Retiring?
I thought he was just scaling back
On that podcast he said how annoyed some fans were because he added a second night in, I think, Glasgow when they already bought tickets hoping for the kudos of being at his ‘last’ gig the night before.
Sounds like they fell for that hook, line and sinker
He really reeled them in.
Great stuff, lads! 😀
I thought he moved to the US and started a jam band called Phish
No more studio albums and the upcoming European tour then next year’s UK dates will be his last. Presumably a live recording will appear at some point. The upcoming deluxe reissues of Vigil and Internal Exile will also complete the series as he wraps up his long career for a new adventure.
He used to live in the farmhouse on the property and converted the outbuildings into a studio – his financial problems in the nineties forced him to sell the farmhouse itself and move into the studio building which is what’s currently on the market.
Looking forward to the Vigil reissue. A truly great album.
The final edition of Fish on Friday ….a sad day for those of us who’ve followed it. A few other musicians did lockdown things but they were all fairly sporadic and ended when lockdown did – Fish has kept his going on a weekly basis for four and a half years with only the occasional miss so fair play to the big man.
Looking forward to catching him on his final UK dates next spring.
Chose a great song to go out on too…starts about 10 mins from the end…
