*the sound of hundreds of people turning away and trying to look extremely busy*
Thanks, @locust! I don’t know what happened to the title in my files. I googled the names and liked what I heard – very pleasant.
Look at his little hand go! Yikes.
This album IS my childhood. Brings both me and my sisster to tears (of joy) – so many memories tied to the songs, that’s why it’s my number one and always will be.
T’ Housies – that’ll be me then.
Moose 1, Afterword 500 😉
I knew it!
That’s odd. I swear I voted for Swordfishtrombones as my all-time favourite. Ah well. It must have been Revolver…. Oh.
Well spotted, @tiggerlion! Sorry about that – an oversight. Thanks for pointing it out. I went back to check the charts and came up with the following late additions –
Bruce Springsteen – Born To Run (2)
Caravan – Land of Grey and Pink
Gary Numan – Telekon
Joni Mitchell – Blue
Joni Mitchell – Hejira (4)
Laura Nyro – Gonna Take a Miracle
Little Feat – Dixie Chicken
Miles Davis – Kind of Blue (3)
The Afghan Whigs Black Love
The Beatles – The Beatles [White Album] (6)
The Rolling Stones – Goat’s Head Soup
Tom Waits – Swordfishtrombones
Van Morrison – Astral Weeks (2)
King of America isn’t up there so I obviously didn’t vote on this.
The non-inclusion of “King of America is a mistake. One might even say that it’s a brilliant mistake.
That Alice Coltrane was presumably my choice as top album, a very good friend for over 40 years now and still utterly unique with its drums/bass/tambura/bells rhythm section overlaid with harp/soprano sax and occasionally piano/oud.
