Nup. No way can I argue with Strange Band, now I have an record player I can revisit stuff I never got round too. Anywayin it’s flip-top pebble dashed vinyl sleeve is on my ‘to play’ list.
A band who coul truthfully say “Sleeve by Leonardo da Vinci. Hear that, bitches? Roger Dean? Storm Thorgeson? Andy Warhol? Pah! Leonardo, bitches! And we didn’t even have to pay him!”
The only disagreement I will permit is Like A Rolling Stone from Bob Dylan at the Free Trade Hall though., because it’s definately pretty dam special and was undeniably “a moment.”
Clearly it’s this track, as heard on the vinyl version (not the inferior CD version that omits the wonderful slow groove intro) of The Name of This Band is Talking Heads…
Yes, that’s the one. Great song and incredible atmosphere. You can hear young Japanese girls actually exploding in the background
Live At Budokan is certainly in with a shout as Best Live Album, and that track one of it’s many highlights.
Because I’m in a contradictory, and generally punchy mood, I would argue that this is the best ever track on a Live album.
AC/DC – Whole Lotta Rosie (from If You Want Blood)
Yes, that’s the one. Damn I’m easily led.
Nice try, and while Whole Lotta Rosie gets close (I personally prefer opener ‘Riff Raff’) this is clearly the answer:
That was marvellous. Off to dig out the CD in the loft!
Gotta be, it changed my life
For the worse, obviously… (ducks…)
Obliterates all other versions. And, by the sound of it, whatever venue it was recorded in.

You are a whore Moose, an absolute whore.
Or maybe I’m just so cheap.
Maybe we could do a thread with Family lyrics?
Wwwweeeeeeheeeeeuurrrghhhhhhhh!!!!
– As Chappo himself might say.
No, its Clock Strikes Ten or Ain’t That A Shame
All of you are WRONGITY WRONG.
The correct answer is Van Morrison doing Cypress Avenue on Too Late To Stop Now.

The second guy has a very special technique with his harmonica.
The first guy’s band has a very special technique with his harmonica.
Don’t like Dylan but love the shambolic joy Hard Rain is. This clip is all I can find

Most band members should get a kick up thee erse for bering so sloppy, but that’s it joy!
Anyone wanna sell their Hard Rain CD, I’ll buy it.
Had my vinyl version thrown back at me from someone I had lent it to saying ‘ This is shite’
Me, I loved it. think Dylan referred to it as ‘Rag Rock’
Better get this ‘un out the way before the heavy crew move in

Always had a soft spot for this:
Depeche Mode, obviously. But which one…? I’ll go for this Personal Jesus in 2010.
Springsteen, Prove it All Night on Live in the Promised Land (1978), not actually released as an official live alb, buy maybe soon ….
