My friend, Amer Corbin, says Hi and then says:
“This young woman has banished the idea in my mind that the fairer sex can’t do what men do with skill and authenticity. I’m not talking about songwriting ability or poetry. I’m talking about graft. This girl has got it in spades. Much like girls playing soccer it’s a thing that has to be worn down. At first its cute then it’s threatening. I’m not threatened anymore by the fact that this girl could run rings around me as a drummer. I’m enlightened by it.
The gold is that she’s fu****g brilliant.”
As ever, Amer is, well, Amer.
Not sure I share his enthusiasm but, boy, is he enthusiastic!
I enjoyed them both with the sound off. Should I listen as well?
I just rewatched them, well, the first one. She seems nice.
Ah, you want more? Wish. Command. Bri.
You said “Bri.” *sob*
(I like this more than the original. Almost.)
That one is good
Nah I did and there wasn’t really any enhancement
I’ve recently been bombarded with FB adverts for a guitar pedal trade-in company called Pedal Pawn. They don’t use some hairy bloke to demonstrate their wares, but a young lady guitarist of exceptional talents. When I switched on the sound, it turns out she can play the guitar a bit as well.
As to the OP, I’ve seen that before. Probably on here.
Amer did indeed post that clip before but his obsession now has reached the stratosphere!
She’s very talented and the clip was filmed very effectively too. I do like her voice and very languid, relaxed body language.
I was impressed to see that she does this One Woman Show live too.
It reminds me of M Ward who is very good at this sort of thing too.
While it’s nice to see a bit of secondary sexism in the OP ( I wasn’t aware that people used the expression “the fairer sex” outside of the 1922 Committee) I’m shocked by the amateurism here.
There have been four clips of this artist on the same thread.
The correct procedure is to post each video on a separate thread, accompanied by a baffling non-sequitir.
At three in the morning.
Amer apologises for his clumsy phrasing and multi YouTube clips. It’s difficult to follow Club Rules when you have been blackballed.
He’s a victim of herd mentaility.
What’s the story about Amer Corbin (anag) then? I didn’t visit this site for a few years, and now only do intermittently, so I’m out of the loop – what happened that caused him to now be apparently The Afterworder Whose Name Shall Not Be Spoke?
It’s nice to have you back Jeff, by the way.
Bri just did a Bri. Again.
Ah thanks, Moose. Not sure I’m ‘back’ as such, though, as I have even less to contribute now than I did before (if my reflexive wibble of yore could even remotely be regarded as a ‘contribution’). But I welcome your friendly words, nonetheless.
I briefly consulted Sir Chuh Fnuction to see if I could find anything which indicated whether Bri went the Full Menkle and was Modded off, but couldn’t find anything.
Reflexive Wibble – three more from them later on the Nameless Wingding
Reflexive Wibble of Yore, originally, when they were trying to get aboard the temporarily lucrative ’70s faux-medieval folk-rock bandwagon.
And speaking of Faux, does he have a current sockpuppet here (if you’ll pardon my Geordie), by any chance?
Ahhhhhhdiven kneeeeeuuuwwwww what ya mean yaboogaman!
Colin H. He’s now pretending to be from Northern Ireland rather than Newcastle. He actually lives in St. Ives.
@Rob-C, where are you? Are you well?
Ah, right.
I met him once – mentioned he had some bigamy rap hanging over him.
Bigamy Rap… now there’s a genre you don’t hear much about these days. Probably so deeply embedded in the canon as to be not worth mentioning.
The Notorious BIGamy?
Ah yeah, good point well made. Schoolboy error on my part, obvs.
FauxColinH, that is, not RobC.
Anybody know how Rob C is doing
