Doesn’t suffer the “Oh look, a gap in the vocals. Better fill it with some pentatonic widdly guitar” that seems to afflict a lot of Wishbone Ash’s songs.
Nicely understated video too
Harsh but fair.
The worst example of that I ever heard was on a Be Bop deluxe album – literally every line was followed by widdly guitar punctuation. Unbearable.
Yes Bill Nelson is guilty of that too!

They did it live on the most recent UK dates. Sounded great too.
The Ash will always hold a special place in my heart and made some really good music in the early 70ās up through to Thereās The Rub. Since then nothing Iāve heard (bar Strange Affair) has been anything other than average. Just āplay some oldā boys – we donāt need anything else.
Thatās rather rocktastic, wasnāt expecting that at all.
Hated the first couple of minutes and was about to click off but really enjoyed the quieter bit.
The crowd shots looked like the annual general meeting of the Afterword.
