My band The Long Version have had quite the six months, steadily gigging and plugging the album I mentioned a few months back. This album track is one of my songs – normally they’re like pulling teeth but this almost wrote itself, which took our drummer by surprise when we finally worked out the verses are in 7/4 (Prog-Americana, anyone?).
The video is shot up the road from where I live in south east London, during the golden hour of evening, by the Emmy-winning Matt Barker. Hope you like. Video, as is tradition, in the first comment.

It’s a good album. But you know that.
Nice. Nice beard too.
Good stuff there Tryp.
I’m really liking that.
Ordered!
Are you accepting comparisons? Minds me of Paddy McAloon. As you might imagine, I’m trying to pay you an absolute compliment!
Had i thought it sounded like P.Mc. I wouldn’t have ordered it.
I got the CD from Bandcamp a while ago and while I’m not completely familiar with the album yet, that song stood out for me as a highlight. Good stuff lads…
Cracking album!
I hope you plan to gig in my neck of the woods – Bristol and Bath – and would urge you to see if you can play at either Pound Arts Centre in Corsham, at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford Upon Avon, or even (more ambitiously) at St. George’s in Bristol; there’s a big following for your kind of music in these here hills.
Thanks for the kind words everyone, it keeps us going! We’re taking a break for summer, but will be gigging in a month or so. I’ll look at those venues Vulpes, I know that area well and keep you posted.
Hi @TrypF the CD was delivered a couple of days ago, thank you 🙏
It’s had a few plays and I can highly recommend it, hey @SteveT you’ll like this!
