I love Steven Wilson’s work and I’m hoping for a return to form after the anti-climax of ‘The Future Bites’, which featured very ordinary songs framed within a somewhat hackneyed, wafer-thin ‘concept’. This one sounds like it could be a grower, but the video is awful (I’m not big into interpretive dance, to put it mildly).
The second preview track “Impossible Tightrope” had just been released. Almost 11 mins long, largely instrumental – I’ll take some of that……
That sounds more interesting than the first track previewed.
I’m told by a pal who has been to two surround playbacks that it is a banger.
I joined the mailing list in order to be notified about playback events (I would have loved that), but never heard anything. Maybe I gave the ‘wrong’ answers to the questionnaire they sent out 😉
I went to the opening of his live DVD which was great fun.
