It’s a real grower – not sure that the Town will be using it as part of it’s Tourist Information though – paints quite a dark picture – “the depth of misery …”
I really like the music of latter day PiL not that the earlier stuff was bollocks but the last two albums I really enjoyed. The ‘Penge’ track is great, love it, also the album contains ‘Hawaii’ the song John wrote for Nora which is a standout song. I hope this album helps John L. with his grief and brings some light into his life.
On a different note, I note Jah Wobble is touring his iteration of Metal Box over the rest of the year. Albeit without, clearly, Keith Levine. I find it eminently more listenable than the PiL version.
I saw PiL at Bearded Theory in 2018, and apart from enjoying the social anthropology on display, it seemed still a largely unlistenable din.
I like this. And Penge is an intrinsically amusing word anyway. Might well look into seeing them live.
A catchy little number.
Hope he keeps busy
That’s brilliant. Love their music. It’s prog!

What the Baron said.

Wil be interesting to see where Mr Lydon goes now after this turning point in his life.
I doubt it’ll be Penge.
