Back in ’93 I almost bought a flat on Baker Street. It was a one bedroom top floor walk up, a bit small, but not bad for around fifty grand. Imagine that, in my first proper job, a post-doc. on a very modest salary, being able to afford a decent place to live in zone 1.
Sometimes I have done a search for Toronto properties and was amazed to see possibilities starting at $50k. click then, oh, that’s for a parking space! Guess I could live in my car?

You wait years Gerry Rafferty news, and it arrives twice in as many months.

Wow. Took him long enough …

One guy * says “Very few mentions of Gerry on the board”. Things are worse on the SH site than we thought. Shall we have a whip round?
(*I think we can assume it’s a guy)

You’d probably pay that now for a slot in a bicycle rack there.

Will he be touring it?
dai says
Hopefully it makes the charts and then I am sure a Top of the Pops appearance awaits …
Moose the Mooche says
I also expect he’ll be giving interviews to Sounds and the Melody Maker.

He’s too old for the Smash Hits audience these days?
Moose the Mooche says
…. yes, and I’d be surprised to see him in Fast Forward or Look-in.

I’m hoping to see the classic lineup, with Bob Holness back in the band.
Uncle Wheaty says
Bob died a few years ago.
Gerry is getting a new band together.

This will resurrect his career.
