I`ve had this on CD & DVD for quite a while but before others shoot me down about having unofficial versions I`ll be buying the LP & CD to further fatten His Bobness`s wallet.
Does the film contain crowd noises or just straight rerecordings of older songs? Not that keen on live albums but the reviews at the time mean I’m fairly tempted by this. No crowd would be the clincher.
I didn’t see the film so don’t know about any audience, but it’s not a live album, studio recordings that they then pretended to play like they were on TOTP or something
No crowd noises. The film takes place in a pretend, sparsely filled nightclub. The people present seem unimpressed that Bob Dylan is playing right next to them.
New (ish) recordings. Old songs.

I watched this at the time. I thought it was ace though obviously not live.
I actually became distracted because of the ‘miming’ of the guitar players. I enjoyed listening to the CD boot much more.
Me too
