Not sure if this is a sign of more to come (his last “resurgence” fizzled our pretty quickly) or just a one off, but nether the less a cause for celebration for XTC obsessives.
My impression is that he seems perfectly happy doing these type of “one offs.” He doesn’t want to tour, and sees doing a whole album as a lot of work. I think he just puts things out when he feels he has something good enough, there’s no pressure as such, so why not?
If only, but it ain’t gonna happen just like those forlorn days of empire, Good song though.
