Not as bad (good?) as I was expecting
You’re a major music nerd, and most people in your life consider you to be an expert. You’re very committed, but there’s some lines you don’t cross.

42 for me and the same conclusion
45 which is kind of nice
13 – I am a girl.
28, but is it a test of nerdery or snobbery? Both terms are used.
44.
35.
48, interestingly. I say interestingly because I realise I’ve gone on record (zing!) taking the piss out of people like this.
Anyway, I took the question “have you EVER” literally. I’ve done all those 48 things, but the vast majority not since I was about 23.
Only 22. This will surprise many of my friends.
50. Oh dear.
29 here. I like music but can happily go for weeks or months without actively listening to any.
18
I feel as though I should be court martialled by some of you
40, and I feel that my musically integrity has been traduced by such a low score.
I scored 61, which I’m not particularly proud of, but I fully expect much higher scores than this from others, which will make me feel better! I hasten to add that my score comes from obsession, rather than snobbery.
This was fun. I only had 3 for ages and was feeling really self righteous but they all crept up on me at the end. 19 was my final score. And I’m not ashamed to admit I proper cried when the Jam split up ❤️
@todayoutof10 – everyone in the world cried when The Jam split up. Didn’t they?
32 for me
27. Music nerd and proud of it.
27 – I am never going to be able to go out in public ever again.
33 – kinda disappointed. Consoling myself that it was very US-centric….
16.
What the hell am I even doing on here?
You’re now officially barred from making any further comments on the ‘The way I see it’ thread unless it’s to confess the error of your ways.
So true.
Turns out I don’t even LIKE music. Everything makes sense now!
23. It says I probably have other interests and a well-rounded life. They know nothing.
Another 16. Why am I here? Everyone else I know would be <5 – I can look well-adjusted in this company. 🙂
I can’t risk taking this. If it turned out I am not a music snob I would be devastated.
34 – reasonably rounded, I hope. It did remind me that the last time I cried was the day John Martyn died – the day the music died.
51, though it felt like it was going to be more as I seemed to be ticking a lot at one point!
As above, I took “ever” literally, there are a handful of the more obnoxious ones I’ve not done since I was a student.
48 and quite pleased about that…
32. Lagom, as we say where I’m from.
60 and possibly higher but for the geographic bias
BUT CAN I JUST SAY
Wearing a bands t – shirt at their gig is fine but not the shirt for the current tour and not having been just bought and pulled on top of existing apparel
That is just not on !
There is bit of bifurcation too. Vinyl / MP3
60
The Horror! The Horror!
A mere 20, no wonder I don’t post often!
34.
Respectable, I think.
24. Surprised it was so low. Perhaps I lied.
47. Thought I’d score more highly, but I may have lied or blotted out some of the more embarrassing incidents.
13.
I’m just here for the “banter”
0.
TLDR
46 – kind of midway between being a nerd and not being interested. Would have been a higher percentage if there were no questions about nitrate, FLAC etc which doesn’t interest me.
Fucking spell checker – BITRATE – not Nitrate.
26, major music nerd it says. Funny, always thought I was a well rounded individual.
er…65, the wife was looking over my shoulder and made me answer truthfully. I’m not bothered ’cause I do love music but I ain’t no snob.
I’m doomed.
9…Which just happens to be my shoe size and exactly the amount of pounds I have in the bank.
Coming in at No.5 (so far) with a paltrey 56. Mind you, considering it’s a US centric quiz with the names and festivals name-checked, it would be interesting to see a UK bias. Agree with Junior about T-shirts: never wear new until its vintage. Especially festivals! I’m convinced the only purpose of a Cropredy T shirt is to demonstrate you were there before anyone else. (P.S. I don’t own one; my ex threw it away years ago)
33
50, which is fine with me.
13, which is probably accurate, but then the effect is rather spoiled when it’s suggested I have a well-rounded life.
Me: 42.
Apparently:
“You’re a major music nerd, and most people in your life consider you to be an expert. You’re very committed, but there’s some lines you don’t cross.”
Yikes.
I shouldn’t worry Soupy, I got the same with a score of just 28. Bit of a rubbish quiz, really.
21. Not surprised I’m lower but surprised the average is so low (34).
22 – well-rounded life – how boring.
39. I am Rigid Digit.
So who am I then?
I thought (in the words of Twisted Sister) – I Am I’ Me.
Turns out I was wrong
I think you might be me. It’s complicated isn’t it?
“Have you ever..?” Is such a dumb way to evaluate anything. I sucked on a doob that one time in college so as not to disappoint a girl and that makes me Shaun Ryder?
52 – I’m in the upper percentile of muso twats.
Another lagom result from Sweden. A mere 29.
“Ever” sank me.
Geographical bias saved me.
60.
35. Not a snob, but definately a nerd.
Only 22, which is closer to my IQ than my shoe size.
