Suddenly I’m interested: this looks like it might be the business. Expandable to 2TB! Available for a whisker under 200 notes if I act fast. What do you think, o ye at the high end?

Specs look good, although as far as I am aware there is no 32-bit 384kHz content to play on it (and likely never will be).
The biggest drawbacks to any PMP are the storage and the battery, both of which can be replaced.
If you have 200 quid to “invest”, don’t let me stop you. If you want something now, buy a Fiio.
…another vote for the Fiio X3 – best player I’ve ever owned…..FLAC files on the move!
It sounds good.
After five years my Creative Zen MP3 player probably doesn’t have a lot of life left. The On switch is in danger of breaking up while battery life is reducing.
One to keep an eye on for sure.
Don’t expect the user interface to be up to iDevice standards. One person can design the hardware in about 6 months but the software takes man years. When I did such things, the SW had taken a team of 12 people 5 or 6 years and it was still buggy.
Nobody bought a Zune then?
