Mickey is a fanatastic harp player and has been with Willie Nelson for decades. Ray Padgett interviewed him recently about guesting on this track with Dylan v playing with Willie as well as talking about his and Dylan’s harmonica playing.
Some lovely playing in the YouTube clip in comments.

Bob Dylan, winner of the Swedish laurels in 2016 for such works as The Times They Are a-Changin’, a poem predicting the end of small ads on our front page, was surprised when his tour reached the German city during the world’s largest jamboree for publishers. “Every room was taken, parties all night,” he tweeted. “I didn’t know there were so many book publishers in the world.”
Dylan said he then tried to track down a small imprint called Crystal Lake to congratulate them on reprinting The Great God Pan, a novella from 1894. “I thought they might be interested in some of my stories,” he added. “Unfortunately it was too crowded and I never did find them.” I love the idea of Dylan wandering up and down the aisles, hoping to make a cold pitch and giving up. Publishers should beware, though. Simon & Schuster announced he was working on the second volume of his memoir in 2008 and so far there’s no sign of it.

Still haven’t read all of the Philosophy book. Thought he was taking the piss.

Got it as a (unasked for, from a well-meaning friend) Christmas present – picked it up, skimmed a few pages, put it back down and there it lies to this day.

The «Philosophy Of Song » book is great; truly a read for repeated listening. And I’m still wondering who got the award for «best vocal klezmer metal soundtrack album»!

To be honest, I did more than skim it because it did indeed come from a good friend. I
tried, I really did but I’m with Junior on this one. No irony, just for what it’s worth, an opinion.
