It’s similar to The Fray , a bit of a progression. He played our local arts centre a few years back, we went on spec and were hooked.

Having ended up in Yorkshire via Durham, Merseyside and Shropshire my vote goes to my adopted home. OK its the biggest one but I can’t think of anything in any other county that Yorkshire lacks. Unless you know different?

I saw loads of bands at Erics in Liverpool during that era. Unlike a lot of bands of that era, the Pirates were tight and totally focused.
Saw them again in 90s – only difference was Mick’s son was in the band! -

I saw him (for the first time) in York last night. Musically excelent but his raport with the audience was not what I expected. Is he naturally shy? Maybe he was irritated by a heckler shout about football.
