The 3 album run with Darren Emerson and the soundtrack stuff they did around that time, especially Oh from A Life Less Ordinary/ 8 Ball from the Beach etc.
+ the 100 Days/Obvlion run. Some of the remixes around […] -

Too prolific maybe. But it’s a run of form that’s up with their best. I think we’ll have the box Monday.

@kaisfatdad I’ve seen them 3 times. They were tremendous. The 47 minute Appleshine Continuum isn’t on the box. They’ve knocked 10 mins odd off it. I’d have left it untouched. It’s their Echoes.

I have the box on order. Can’t wait to get stuck in. This collaboration with The Necks is just amazing. Especially the wig out half way through.
My favourite track of theirs since the glory years. And as good a […]

Alas Colin you are incorrect. Seamus had nothing to do with Peig Sayers autobiography.
She was a storyteller in her own right. A teacher from Dublin called, Máire Ní Chinnéide asked Peig to tell her life st […]

@dr-volume Apologies it’s taken over a year to reply. I’ve just watched “Decades” the documentary of these shows. The encore of Your Silent Face and Decades is lump in the throat stuff.

That was brilliant. I don’t know how but I’ve never seen that one before. Ah … I miss the days when the “stars” got a proper skewering.

Just 11. But the 11 are very good so the rest of the list might be worth investigating. But unless I accidentally run into them I fear it will remain 11. ish!

“A sobering read” indeed.
I didn’t know what to expect and honestly the piece is very sad. The picture of Mac I have in my mind is of his imperial late 20’s. Realising that he is 60 next birthday, living so frug […] -

Good one Ivan. They really were on good form. Amazingly as @steven-c said beforehand we had both as teenagers been to Slane to see them for the first time in 1982. 36 years ago. I’ve seen them many times since. T […]

It’s got Al Pacino, John Forsythe, Jack Warden, Jeffrey Tambor and lots more, and of course it’s brilliant. And often forgotten. So do yourself a favour!!!

I picked up the Lo Moon LP last month. After living with it since then it’s obviously the lost brother/cousin of The Colour of Spring. I just love it.
