P.S. Moosey, that joke only works if I hag a gigawife. Sorry, I am very dull.
A megawife would be a million wives, and a gigawife a thousand million. I wouldn’t be able to keep up with either.

I’d try to have a break from the news Dai, cos there doesn’t seem to be much to cheer about at the moment.
I’m usually at home all day anyway, what with my impressive list of ailments, but now I’m joined by a […]

Enjoyed that, thanks! Interesting to hear the Smash Hits and Q war stories, and how he brought his magazine editor nous to bear on the book designs. I am almost exactly the same age as Heppy (born in 1950), so I […]

ABC are lucratively plying the play some old with an orchestra at pretty big venues, Thompson Twins are now only one, and do the cheapo oldies tour circuit. Heaven 17 drift between nostalgia gigs and heritage gigs […]

Thanks mate. I adore The Alchemist and The Suths were ‘my band.’ I still will debate anyone that Tim Renwick is the player that Mark Knopfler heard and thought, “Ooh, I love those clipped notes, the melodic, lyrical solos…”

The next set is very mouthwatering indeed whichever way you cut it. The BBC Tin Machine sessions are indeed excellent, better than Oy Vey Baby or many of the boots out there.
Black Tie White Noise is better […]

That is goose-pimplingly fabulous. I’ve already got her album called just “Fatou” – this one just got added to that score. Superb.

No idea. He should be off.
Both games today have lacked quality but the tension has cranked up as the clock ticked on. The flare players out thought by a more determined, better organised side.

Dylan Jones Bowie book is very good until the 80s – he should have quit at Lodger as he really seems to lose interest after that and then there’s a bunch of post-death eulogies and who needs to read another one of […]

I guess I must be a Mike Batt fan. Woefully unfunny and given the fixation on Peter Gabriel, around 30 years out of date.

The Who. Some fine music, of course, but Townshend has a ridiculously high and self important view of his place in the literary and musical canon; Daltrey displays a general lack of humility (and humour) and Keith […]
