Not a band I have ever properly got in to, although i really loved Gravity & Ashes when they were released & at the time questioned why they had never landed with me. This is very very good indeed so I will […]

I would highly recommend the Peter Apps book ‘Show Me the Bodies: How We Let Grenfell Happen’ for further reading on this. It is a couple of years since I read it, but i remember it being very interesting

Oh i need to check out the Maisie Peters one – I will do so today. Your snap judgement on Olivia is correct i think – Stupid Song may well be the best thing she has done

I’m with you on this @FreddySteady. it sounds too clean – i can’t work it out. I think i like it, but it isn’t sitting right

The new Olivia Rodrigo album is out today & this is the cause of excitement in our house for me (43) & my daughter (10). First signs are very good indeed. The best Pop for me is uplifting but has a hint of […]

Two that have got me excited are: ~ The Twilight Sad – It’s The Long Goodbye. Every song is excellent ~ Robyn – Sexistential I dislike one song on this album, but the other 8 are fantastic & I can’t wait […]

I’d have to go for the 3 which bring me the most pleasure & are my go to artists when I don’t know what I’m in the mood for. 1. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (hopefully including the solo & Warren Ellis […]

22-20s. I was in pain for weeks after that otherwise superb gig. I have friends who left because it was so loud & I as stood directly next to the speakers, watching the drummer go through cymbals as he was (& I […]

I wear a lot of band t-shirts, mostly purchased at gigs (especially the smaller ones) & will always ensure I am a fan of said band so that if anyone does approach me out in the wild I will be able to converse. I […]

Oooh not done this for a while. I look forward to discovering some gems as per Mine: State Of The Union – David Ford I Can’t Make You Love Me – SOAK If You Don’t Want Me To Destroy You – Super Furry […]

I accept it could be a frustrating one to some as they both talk over each other a lot, but it was very enjoyable & I am currently working my way through the backlog. I just read Melissa Auf der Maurs book & […]

Lovely writing & one thing I miss about living in London is marathon day. Going along & supporting friends & anyone else taking part is a wonderful experience & shows the city at it’s best

I’m a sucker for a good pop tune & this new one from Icona Pop has had me reaching for the repeat button numerous times, it’s a stormer On top of that I started rewatching Get Back (5th time now) & it just gets […]

Wholly agree on No Off Switch, a really fascinating read & one of the best autobiographies there is. I discovered some fantastic music from reading it.

Great news Niall

I would automatically go for Freewheelin’ But if you have a penchant for his earlier years, then my best of may help A lot from the early albums & then some of the standouts from Bootleg, including my all time […]

I was here to post this exact same thing.

I nearly spoiled a week in Italy (for me & my family) by having a 7 day earworm of ‘Man I Feel Like A Woman’ by Shania Twain. Whenever it comes on (mercifully not that often) it brings a level of PTSD to the […]

It was my choice for album of the year & I am still sticking to it. I think it is a wonderful album & had it on yesterday. Also surprised there is not more love on this site though, I feel it ticks a lot of […]
