I would have to agree, the first half of the album is my preference too. However, the 2nd night was worth it just for Oh Yeah, but I would loved to have seen Claudia do this. Fingers crossed for that 50 song […]

Did you do both nights of Magnetic Fields @duco01? I saw them in Manchester & agree with your 5 star assessment!

Years ago I saw Arcade Fire at the Apollo in Manchester & the sound was awful. I was also sat behind the sounddesk & the person mixing was in full on panic mode! We could see them constantly trying to get it right […]

I was at this too @deckards & agree wholly with your review. A cracking gig & they did a superb job of making the arena have an atmosphere, something that a lot artists fail to do. Jubilee Street & Tupelo were […]

YES! This exactly! I would also pick another Cropper solo with For Your Precious Love by Otis Redding. It is the purest, most beautiful guitar sound ever achieved IMHO

I like this a lot. The intro could be a touch shorter, but the pay off of that voice makes it all worthwhile. Looking forward to the album as I enjoyed the last one, despite feeling like I was in the minority on that front.

I have always lazily pigeonholed/dismissed them as ‘that band who did the tune with Vic Reeves’ I need to investigate further as this is a fantastic tune. Which album would you recommend as a starting point @Leedsboy ?

Delays were a fantastic band & their track Hideaway from the follow up to Faded Seaside Glamour is also worth a listen. It comes up on shuffle every now & then leading to a 4 minute ‘tea break’ for a proper […]
