Oh my goodness – Chakwal was a mainstay of my life in Leeds in the late 70’s! Rampant inflation had taken the cost to 75p by then.

£36 for Lucinda at the Town Hall, which is a bargain in my book. Speaking of bargains, Bill Frisell is playing a rare UK gig outside London at the BRC in May – £22! I was expecting it to be considerably more.

@SteveT I’m not surprised that you’re excited Steve, what a fabulous adventure! The prospect of Elvis in a collaboration with Steve Nieve & Nick Lowe is so intriguing – I’d really love to hear that.

She’s a star. I’m totally with you on her voice; it has the same wonderful affect on me that you describe so well. I saw her play at the Moseley Folk Festival at the end of the summer, she came across as warm, […]

Just to note that there are now a few more UK dates confirmed for the summer, including, happily for me, the Hare & Hounds in B’ham.

Happy days indeed, it was never quite the same after the shop moved to larger premises. There’s a good chance we shared that sofa at some point – I think I remember at least 2, maybe 3 sets of headphones?
