Yes that’s a terrible cover. Why do so many prog artists still insist on using Roger Dean or covers that look like Dean knock offs?

I was at the second Greendale concert where the bar was closed. Had he performed a decent set list instead of bloody Greendale for well over an hour I’m sure the bar traffic would have been minimal. When I b […]

I loved his Kill The Wolf album, probably my favourite of that year. I played this new one on Spotify. Must try it again. There is too much to listen to…

I’m also in the I should love them but strangely don’t camp. I went to see them at the Basingstoke Anvil and whilst it was OK I was not converted. I didn’t think much of the singer. I’ve played most of the albums […]

Nice review. I follow his Facebook page / blog thing. He and Olivia have fled Brexit and moved to Lisbon in Portugal. He’s a lovely guy. I must check out the album.

Perversely he put the demo of an excellent song Anyone But Me on the cassette in the box!

I’d suggest starting with The Raven That Refused To Sing, which is quite a retro sounding album, with nods to Yes & King Crimson in the first song, the songs and tunes are great, there’s lots of guitar and mel […]

I’m a huge fan, well quite tall anyway, but I’m in the very disappointed camp on this one. H.C.E is my favourite album by anyone ever. I liked most of the last one To The Bone including Permanating although tho […]

I bought the double CD best of Still On Top for £2 or £3 recently. Strangely it is less than the sum of its parts and really isn’t as good as many of his better albums.

I have about 5 Charlie albums. I’d recommend the debut Fantasy Girls. They did well in the USA but were a couple of years too late to make it in the UK.

It got a bit of a sniffy review in this month’s Prog magazine but the track on last month’s free CD was very good indeed.

Yes, the fact that I’d bought the expensive tickets well before he decided to make it Greendale plus 4 hits certainly didn’t help. I’ve seen him quite a few other times, Wembley Landing On Water or Life, Phoen […]

I had the misfortune to see it once. Worst waste of £50 ever.
His recent output including Homegrown has been largely dismal, with the exception of Psychedelic Pill.
