It’s still on iPlayer in England. Just about to watch it.

Quite rightly. Greendale was awful. It wasn’t advertised as such when tickets came out. He only did 4 or 5 songs other than Greendale. I’ve seen him at least half a dozen times; this was the only concert I regret attending.

That sounds like a great night. I have Thought Talk. Playing it now to remind myself what they sound like. I know I used to love Flames In The Rain but can’t recall any of the other songs.

He definitely isn’t. The first three were great. His first solo album was REALLY dull. Dream Harder was patchy. I haven’t bought anything since.

Hardly a week goes by without some part of ELP’s history being repackaged for our delectation. I’m amazed there is still a market for this stuff.

Criminal Record? I’ve got that? *checks condition* Hmmm. Cover a bit battered with ringwear and a little round hole in the top right – some sort of cutout presumably. A £2.50 sticker. As for the record, the sp […]

OK I’ll agree that What Life Brings has both a guitar solo and a memorable tune. Maybe it’s just me. I’ll have to get back to you.

Well, you’ve probably played it quite a few more times than I have (2 or 3 for me so far) but for me it’s another major disappointment after the disappointment of TFB. I liked TTB very much, especially some of the […]

I’m told the book has Dearg Doom as being on Dancehall Sweethearts whereas it’s on The Tain. An unfortunate error to say the least.

I inherited copies of Grimspound and Folklore recently when a good friend passed away. I quite like them but not as much as I think I should as a fan of classic 70s prog. However I really liked the song I heard by […]

I think you are underselling MMEB. The run of albums from Solar Fire in 74 up to and excluding the misstep Somewhere in Africa in 82 was excellent. Chance, Watch, Roaring Silence, Angel Station all very much worth […]

Not the same band either without Jon Anderson! I was there as Trevor Horne struggled to win over the slightly hostile audience.

I didn’t go to many….
Besnard Lakes at the Boiler Room Guildford were excellent in a sort of proggy Fleetwood Mac way.
Ryley Walker, also at the Boiler Room, who incredibly remembers my name every time I see […] -

Great review. Is it touring? I’m more interested in Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn than TB so I suppose I could go home at half time. That would work because whoever I’m seeing I always start to worry about the las […]

I will be buying this but I’m two thirds the way through his Black & Blue currently, which despite the tiny print in the charity shop paperback, I’m enjoying very much.

How absolutely fantastic for you! I saw them in Bristol once when I had a migraine, which wasn’t great, and again at Hammersmith a few years later. Great band.
And yes that Stalk- Forrest album is superb! - Load More
