…which begs the question: who ARE your top five jazz piano players, @Mike_H?

I find it rather wonderful that they are all still playing, albeit occasionally, @MIKE_H. Respect!!

Thumbs up @Mike_H

@Mike_H I now use Flickr for pictures here as Imgur no longer works. Anyway here’s my dad about two years old in India. I’d been in contact with my son earlier today about various wildlife spotting and no […]

She is indeed something special. Glad you brought her to our attention @mikethep. She’s sung with the wonderful Joshua Redman. Wow! Thanks for posting this list @Mike_H.

What a wonderful find @mike_h This comment hits the nail on the head Although Under Dubwood might seem an incongruous mix – the words of Dylan Thomas, the voice of Richard Burton and the studio sounds of King T […]

@mike_h There was an interesting article in The Independent on Friday about this very topic, the use of the Z word. I think it’s paywalled so I’ll try reproducing it here (is that allowed, with a paywalled […]

@Mike_h No need to mention the ‘anti’ word or the ‘Z’ word or the ‘J’ word at all, this is about a nation having acted in a way that should mean that it is cold-shouldered by the rest of the world – trying to […]

@Mike_H I saw a red kite today and thought about the time I hitched to Wales in 1980 hoping to see a red kite unsurprisingly I was unlucky. Now it’s an almost daily occurrence.

@Mike_H thanks 🙏

@Mike_H @Bamber @Retropath2 Here is my tracklist : Track (Tonton Cristobal est revenu – Pierre Perret I wanted that one instead of Jacques Brel!) 1: j’arrive! : Jacques Brel. As weird as it is, I […]

Ta, bigly! So, then, @pizon-bros, @bamber and @mike_H, the retro-reveal: 1. Gene Parsons/Back Again. The “other” Parsons in the Byrds and the Burritos. 2. Amy Thatcher & Francesca Knowles/Anyway, Back to Me. […]

And what excellent musicians she has in her band, @mike_h Michael Lack – sax Rob Brockway – piano Benjamin Crane – bass Kuba Miazga – drums Hopefully she will go far.

Now it’s time for my critical gaze to turn towards the @Mike_H compilation. The minimal packaging features an eyecatching Bridget Riley cover and a cardboard support for postage made from the box of a Sainsbury’s […]

@Mike_H – this is very much Netanyahu’s war and yet despite his personal unpopularity, I read today polling shows 90% of Israelis support it, which is just insane. Interesting analysis here reflecting on signs […]

Right then, I have 2 of my 3, so to get the ball rolling and the egg on my face, let’s go. First up, it’s @mike_H : I’m expecting lots of jazz, given the source. A neat little jingle as a prelude sets the tone: […]

And I have yours, @mike_h ! Listening now!!

@Pizon-bros @Bamber @Retropath2 @Mike_H

@Mike_H Thanks 🙏

Would you like a minidisc version @Mike_H as discussed on the other thread?
