Don’t want the tickets but would thoroughly recommend someone grabbing the chance … Just seen them in Cardiff, pretty amazing.

Planning a trip to Miami/Florida – want some good music to put me in mood (other than Gloria Estefan/Pitbull/Will Smith) — Miami doesn’t seem as readily associated with any rock bands songs as other major […]

Listening to Tom Petty Hard Promises the other day it struck me what a fantastic album it is – til you get to side 2. Bowie oftern seemed to do this – stick all the best songs in side 1 (see Scary Monsters) … […]

He was rubbish as Jim Morrison though

Just familiar with the How to Make Friends and Regular Urban Survivors albums, but have always liked their mix of hard rock with witty lyrics … And singles Oblivion ( that’s the whales and dolphins one) and […]

With a bit more perspective I’m beginning to feel better about it – shame there was no Lemon Song or In the Light, but stuff like Carry Fire was pretty wondrous. But during Whole Lotta Love the middle section […]

Saw him in Bristol last night.. slightly disappointed, less Zep than at Plymouth and the crowd seemed a bit subdued to me… mebbe cos he kicked off with four straight new songs… But the band were brilliant, […]

Is the Wiki claim true, that wrestler Mick McManus co-wrote Silver Machine? Really??? And have any other top TV grapplers made forays into the rock world?

LS did a great gig in Bristol last week — 24 songs, 2-and-a-half hours, 15-strong band — and a version of The Bristol Stomp!
Mick50s commented on the post, ATM: De-warping vinlys 9 years ago

I had a couple of seriously warped LPs to the point of being unplayable. Basically I put them in a cardboard box among about 50 albums, put ’em in storage and left the country for four years. When I got them back […]
Mick50s commented on the post, Why does my Googleplay hate Steely Dan? 9 years ago

Ooh yes … That’s working nicely thank you … I’d still like to know why it does that .. and why it also arbitrarily splits up some albums.. and there are some albums the tag editor can’t find artwork for ie […]
Mick50s commented on the post, Why does my Googleplay hate Steely Dan? 9 years ago

Yes, Googleplay Music … But similar problems in Black player and Media Monkey … I have added all the right artwork for all my albums in iTunes … My confusion is why it works for the vast majority but not a […]

…and Elvis Costello, and certain other artists? I put stuff on my Moto phone and some albums have missing artwork. The bizarre thing is that it will not allow any artwork by some artists – eg every Dan album is […]

Ash thanks – sounds like a plan – I guess maybe I should try dragging across from the finder type thingy rather than directly from the iTunes library

I just tried to add Downtown by Neil Young and Downtown by Crazy Horse to my smartphone, from iTunes library, and it tells me for the second one I can skip, or replace. Cos it has the same title (and cos both are […]

At the same gig – extraordinary, and sensory overload is an apposite description. One of those gigs which grows in my estimation as time goes on. Looking forward to PSB later this year…
