As a kid I associated their name with smoky bacon flavour crisps. But they always had a big smile on their faces whenever they turned up to TOTP, so maybe the name had some wider meaning.

I don’t know. My knowledge in this area is only a molecule thick. But I don’t think the age of the computer is an issue. The lack of an Apple ID might be more problematic.
