I did see Leeds beat Liverpool at the 1992 Charity Shield. Cantona hatrick and Strachan own goal. Definitely better than watching Leeds lose to Watford in Cardiff a few years ago.

I have seen Mr. Springsteen at Wembley. He was fantastic. My list of bands I would go to Wembley to see is very small. He was top of the list. Coldplay are second. I’m struggling to think of a third to be honest.

That’s exactly where I am on them. I suspect the show will be brilliant – and they have a good set of songs. And everyone knows the lyrics to the la la la bits don’t they?

I think I am crashing and burning. Only enhanced packages available and there is 23000 punters in front of me. I will leave it hanging (more than anything to see what happens) and have another go at the general […]

it seems a lot less exciting than the Oasis ticket queue. I’m now 27833 and just getting on with work, occasionally jiggling my mouse to keep my personal laptop awake.

That reminds me of the expat Saudi drink which was 50% home brew and 50% Moussy no alcohol local stuff. Not great but it worked.

A Fever Tree with a few splashes of Angastora Bitters is a great low alcohol option. as well.

I’ve found the 0.5% stuff is not really different from the 0.05% stuff to be honest. If you do see a 2% or thereabouts beer at a bar its worth trying – maybe a half? It is the least compromised compromise (to my […]

Beer somewhere between the 2% and 3% mark is, I think, where this should be heading. I have had a few beers around the 2% strength in a couple of London pubs (both at the hipster end of the pub scene). They […]

It’s very good. Well worth a go if you like the black stuff. The absolute best non alcoholic beer I’ve had though is draught Goram IPA from Buttcombe.

Bank to Monument station. Cross Millennium Bridge. Walk up Southbank and get to Waterloo East. Go in there and use the walkway to Waterloo, Not sure that works but its possibly right.

Fun fact. The old Gordons gin factory on the Goswell Road is now a data centre.

Kidneys seem to be a tricky ingredient. My daughter’s GCSE Food Tech required some kind of nutrient theme and she chose iron and maded steak and kidney pies. No probs on the practice run (Waitrose) had some, but […]
