Surely enough voices spoke out about his behaviour, that you can’t put it all down to a bitter ex?! I don’t believe not denying poor behaviour makes it acceptable, or means others are to blame simply for calling it out.

I like Ronnie. When I saw the Stones at Glastonbury (2013), I felt he was doing the majority of the heavy lifting, guitar wise. I haven’t checked out his solo stuff so will have a listen.

I’m amazed by how many comebacks this man has made. We likely haven’t seen the last of him. I remember being vox-popped by a news crew in Hartlepool town centre (my home town, where he was our MP) after the […]

Lovely stuff, I’ve seen them a few times but not caught them since the comeback (though I saw both Jimi and Black Rivers in the “solo years”). Love the latest album, probably their best since The Last […]

Not often named as a classic, but the aforementioned ‘Sneakers’ was also a childhood favourite of mine. I really should watch it again. (“Too Many Secrets?”) Great actor.

I saw this very same show at Wembley in 2022. They’ve announced that the tour will continue into 2027. Higher Power was released in 2021, when the tour began, so the new song you mentioned is 4 years old and the […]

I guess it’s not that unusual for artists to sell off their catalogue these days, but the messaging is very Morrissey.

I really regret not arranging a London trip for Tom Petty at Hyde Park a few years back. I never saw him play and me and mate talked about going to that, but never sorted it out.

I was at that one too, my first NY show, though not my last.

The new mix of Free As A Bird is a interesting listen (it’s already on Spotify etc). I’m so used to the vocal sound of the ’95 version, hearing it cleaned up is a striking difference.

Exactly @dai , I meant I might have enjoyed a touch more of Van’s more-widely-known material, though as I said, I wasn’t particularly expecting it.

I was at the Malahide gig too. Flew over from Manchester, having failed to get Glastonbury tickets this year (sob), it looked like my best bet for catching Neil. Made sure to get there for Everyone Says Hi, […]

Everyone Says Hi (self-titled) has been my favourite so far. Though the Pulp record has been on heavy rotation for the past week.

Similar with Hungry Heart, written for The Ramones but Bruce ultimately kept it.
