Despicable sentiments. On the other hand, they have improved the lyrics.

Ridiculously overpriced and I’d imagine pretty easy to get hold of the original vinyl if required. I have most of this and it sounds fine so I’m not convinced there’ll be much in the way of an upgrade.

I bought the double album when it first came out on the strength of the title track. I relistened to it not so long ago but apart from this and the storming Mingus covers I think it’s mediocre (like the movie really).

I have been playing a lot of Morricone lately and had just put The Good, The Bad & The Ugly on this morning when the news alert popped up on my phone. A bit of a spooky moment but unfortunately I do not have any […]

Surely Tranmere would only have played at home every second Friday while the Tube was a weekly show. It’s a nice story but it doesn’t really add up.

I’m retired so lockdown has not made a huge difference to my lifestyle, although all the queueing outside chemists reminds me why I don’t like theme parks and coronaland is becoming one of my least favourite. Not […]

I went to the local Sainsburys earlier to get some basics earlier; good news is the shelves are much fuller now and I was able to get everything on my list except for the Chorizo bites my other half requested.

Captain Scarlet and Stingray were my favourites. I’m pretty sure I can recall an episode of Stingray which took place in a goldfish bowl? And I know there was an episode of thunderbirds in which baby alligators […]

A modern western that surprised me with its quality is Open Range, despite the presence of Kevin Costner.

I’ve got one of these. It’s pretty good and has rejuvenated records that are over 30 years old in some cases. I don’t think you’d regret getting one. Noisy bugger though as he points out.
I have a Linn Sondek too!

I read the sequel to his most famous book and it was probably the most awful and ridiculous book I have ever read. I will never read another book by him.

I haven’t seen the latest Avengers film yet but the other day one of my granddaughters happily recited a list for me of the major characters who die. I retaliated by telling her they all come back to life in the next film.
