This is daftness though as they will be replaced by others moving into their age group. And apparently we aren’t breeding at the required rate for population equilibrium .

Really enjoyed watching Turkey play, their right winger Yilmaz is right footed which makes him unusual as all our wingers cut inside to shoot with their left. Refreshing to see a team going for it, right to the […]

A second Thin Lizzy fan, I only found this place when Google pointed to a discussion of the band. Confession time; I have never read The Word, I did used to get Melody Maker and then Sounds when Gary Bushell was […]

I still haven’t forgiven him for summer 81. I was recuperating and my dad visited, said Leeds had signed Lineker £250,000. I found out later it was Linighan £25,000.

Your window does look very nice, and framed with tasteful planting, though I do prefer to see the glazing bars such as those in Downing Street. I expect Sir Keir will have the uPVC boys along soon.

Beautiful Lyrics. Abide With Me evokes memories for me of being made to sing it at school. I guess as a child five verses would have tested my patience.

Well I’m not religious, but I’d prefer it if other people were. Sounds ridiculous though there was a time when it seemed that I was pushed in that direction; and those people doing the pushing, they aren’t around […]

I’ve had to argue myself at the cost of treatment in a foreign hospital. Frankly, being seen promptly beats free at the point of access.

Reform of the NHS should be a priority. The idea that it’s “the envy of the world” is so far from the truth.
