I don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun, but I just remembered another watch story.
I asked Derek, my workmate, what he got from his wife for Xmas(about 10 years ago). He said he got an automatic winder for his […]

bigstevie commented on the post, How do you burn a disc from Amazon Music 3 days, 7 hours ago
Amazon music that you haven’t paid for, will only play using the Amazon app. If you have paid for it, you need to download it onto your pc( I don’t know about apple stuff, but assume it’s the same) and burn the […]

Lovely story Podicle! Thanks for that. Made me remember my dad and watch story.
I haven’t worn a watch since my mid twenties(a Seiko, that I probably still have somewhere).
When my dad passed, my mum asked […]

Pirates of the Caribbean have a “Fisher’s Hornpipe”. Not a sea shanty, as it’s an instrumental. We used to play a version tacked on to a fishing song.

Since you mentioned golf course….daisy cutter is a golf shot. One that never gets more than a couple of inches off the ground, but still goes a good distance. Also known as a Sally Gunnell in the old days(ladz banter).

Fiction – Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart.
This story has just won the 2020 Booker Prize. I usually buy some of the shortlisted books, and in general I find them too deep, or too highbrow for my liking. This is […]

I like that! I got fed up of him releasing new records every week, so I just forgot about him. He almost sounds like ’70s melodic Neil Young to me.

Never really been a festival goer(small ones only and most recent about 7 years ago), so no. Also, I don’t know much about Findlay, and less about his brother.
Findlay played at our club, but I missed him. My pal […] -
