  3. His voice in that Cordon Karaoke thing was pretty shot. Christ knows how he’ll sustain 2+ hours of live singing. Must have extra strong ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶a̶p̶e̶s̶ throat lozenges.

  4. FWIW I saw him in Sydney last year – I went along with combination of fandom and doubt that lots of people here will have. It was brilliant and I’m so pleased I went.

  5. Ideally timed as an Xmas Present gig for UK Fabs/Macca fans.
    On his current enthusiastic form, he’ll be wanting to put on a good show.
    I expect it will be a hugely enjoyable experience for those who go.
    I don’t do these big gigs any more.

  6. Registered. Living on the Wirral it seems wrong not to, especially as I’ve never seen him live and who knows which tour might be the last chance. Probably more chance of me croaking than him, mind you.

  8. Has anyone been lucky enough to be notified that they’ll receive a Pre–Sale code? My email (received this evening) says that I’m ‘on the waiting list’, which means I won’t get the chance of a code unless ‘more tickets become available’. I’m not optimistic…although as they say, there’s always the general sale on Monday.

  9. I eventually got a pre-sale code, after being on the waiting list. By that point the options at the Glasgow Hydro were pretty limited. There’s really not going to be much, if anything, left when tickets go “on sale” on Monday.

  10. I got a pre-sale code for Montreal with a time slot and secured 3 tickets eventually for half decent seats at pretty high prices ($150 each). The astronomical prices for good floor seats will probably mean that they will not immediately sell out in the public sale today. As usual, don’t panic and pay more than you want to, things normally open up if you play the waiting game.

  11. Update: I received an unexpected notification from AXS for an O2 Arena Pre-Sale at 10am today. Was put in the ‘waiting room’ queue at the back, but it was surprisingly quick in progressing me into the system. I was looking to buy floor or Level 1 tickets, but was repeatedly getting the message that there were none available; then for some reason I was transferred/redirected to another page and invited to go in again; this time I managed Row Z on one of the Level 1 blocks. I did waver a little, and winced as I clicked the payment button; these tickets are not cheap! But my beloved and I had previously agreed that we would do whatever to see Macca for probably the first and last time, so I’m pretty chuffed.

    • Congrats. I wasn’t going to see him again (last time in 2011), but couldn’t resist the chance to see him one time with my daughter who will be 12. She loves The Beatles.

  12. I vowed a few years ago to not go through any stress to see anyone or anything. To be happy to watch a group at the local pub/festival or, at the higher end of the scale, Wizz Jones or Michael Chapman for £12 on the door.

    Came unstuck last year. I simply didn’t factor in how difficult it was to get … are you ready for this? … a ticket for Brentford-Blackburn Rovers.

    Circa 1990, tickets and demand for the Stones, Paul and the sainted Bowie was at an all-time low. I guess I got it out of my system by seeing them all then. As for the Kinks, they couldn’t give them away.
