Quite a c.v., one of those names that would reassure, should you see him on bass in the credits. Didn’t know he was a human rights lawyer as well.
Was only watching the Bowie Live Aid performance yesterday… #spookyserendipity
Vital member of The Soft Boys – a truly great band . Go back to Underwater Moonlight if you haven’t for a while , or ever…. it was such a thrill to see him with Bowie at Live Aid genuinely enjoying the moment .

“Sad news today. Matthew Seligman who produced our Crazy ep and lent his prodigious bass abilities to some tracks on Love Junky, died yesterday. We were too nervous of studio playing and we figured a pro like Matthew could save us some time and so money. He did in a few hours what might have taken us days. He didn’t want any cash and he wasn’t too keen on billing, but his playing was superb. We could never have come up with his bass on Miserable Boy. Have a listen and remember a great musician and a fine chap”
