That’s sad news. He was a great player and entertaining on stage. Decent chap all round.
I shall raise my glass of eggnog to him when Christmas Wrapping first gets an airing this year.
Two days before is mightily impressive. Saw him with the Furs a couple of times, seemed to be a key part of the band.
I only got to see the Waitresses once but his performance was memorable. Damping his sax with the back of his thigh is surely something they don’t teach you in sax school
