Just in case anyone is wondering why its so damn quiet on the McCartney front at the moment, here’s a rather good interview from the new GQ. Given he has been uncommonly open on recent encounters with Marc Maron, Howard Stern, he’s on equally good form here. Nothing shockingly revelatory but a good read nonetheless.

Going to see him live next week in Montreal. Does he still have it? Will report back. New album Egypt Station is (generally) great and much better than we have every right to expect at this stage.

Enjoyed that! Not the biggest solo stuff fan but have been hoovering up his recent albums from my second hand record shop. Most of it is surprisingly good. Listening to the latest via streaming and enjoying it. Not too shabby for a 76 year old!
