As an aisde: has anyone ever witnessed Macca or Brooce pop off stage for a quick slash backstage? I’m 28 years younger than Sir Paul, and three hours is pushing it.
£85 plus the usual folderol on top for the nosebleeds, £silly for up front, which have probably already gone to ‘accredited resellers’ who will charge what they like.
Macca’s safe, but I think a lot of so-called big acts are seeing the tide turn on take-the-piss prices. Saw footage of the Foo Fighters from the other day and it didn’t look exactly packed.
It’s the way it’s done these days. Sell outs are not necessary. Start with very high prices and FOMO means initial sales will be high before tailing off. Then tickets are sold at the end at lower prices if still available, they have probably made their money well before that.
Seen him twice and he was great but I really have no desire to witness the fireworks in Live and Let Die again or to hear the tedious singalong for Hey Jude. If he promised to do the whole of Ram or Red Rose Speedway I might be tempted. Until then I’ll stick with the records.
I first heard the word “Skagerak” when I was a boy, in a song called “Wonderful Copenhagen” from a Danny Kaye album that my parents had, which was about the life of Hans Christian Andersen.
Poor old Sir Thumbsaloft. I wonder how he feels when he sees the Stones ripping it up on stage. Just a little bit lonely? He’s really on the stadium equivalent of the soup-in-a-basket circuit, clapalong hits for the Olds. He should do a package tour, like the good old days, with The Searchers, Gerry And The Pacemakers, Herman’s Hermits. There’d be some argument over top billing, but it might fill a few cinemas.
managed to get a couple of seats up in the gods, miles away from the stage – £180 each. Still, will be able to join in the mass audience singalong finale of ‘Bip Bop’
I’d set off early if you’re thinking about going to the Manchester gig. Also on in the same part of the town up at the Etihad is City v Utd . Of course it might well get moved but if not the trams might be a tad busy.
Probably around 4pm on the 15th I would guess for the football. So may be ok by 7.30-ish if you don’t need to take a tram in an opposite direction. My Manchester geography is rusty,
Tumbleweed?
Pack a Mac.
(Might rain)
Caramac you might get peckish
(Oh sorry they stopped making them)
This. Is. An. Outrage.
Karakakora kakarakak
Apple Mac?
Had the chance to go to the O2 when he played there about 15 years back and
didn’t follow through as I loathe the venue.
While would love to see him, a lot of fans who have recently are saying his voice is shot.
All a bit moot really, as barring last minute announcements, it doesn’t look like he’ll be playing Dublin.
Even were he to do so, demand for tickets at the 13,000-seat 3Arena would be ridiculous.
Good to know he didn’t follow through when he played there 15 years ago.
😁.
Sorry. Made me laugh.

Macca never leaves the stage, and drinks nothing during the performance. May be connected. Bruce not sure.
Mick had 3 songs off last weekend, but I think Keith and Ronnie were on the stage the whole time (only 2 hours though)
The band could play ‘In The Wee Wee Hours’ if they did.
I would.
Do Guns N Roses concerts experience a quick slash if he needs to finish up pronto and go for a wee… ?
Return of the Mac-ca
Mac and wheeze
hahalol
Should we carry out a ticket price sweepstake?

Pearl jam tickets for Tottenham now down to half price due to slow sales

It’s just not Fuh You.
(Hoffman mode) “Unless he plays Holly Days original Japanese track listing as Denny intended, then it’s a hard pass from me.”
Macca back? Zabadak! Pacamac! Shakatak! Skagerak! Voice wracked! Loada kak!
I first heard the word “Skagerak” when I was a boy, in a song called “Wonderful Copenhagen” from a Danny Kaye album that my parents had, which was about the life of Hans Christian Andersen.
Have an up 👍
First two threads on here are about The Beatle and The Stones: it’s almost like we’re a bunch of old farts – oh …
It’s ALL about them though really isn’t it? And Dylan maybe…
Teenagers to 70 somethings at the Stones show so there is that
You say it’s your birthday, well it’s my birthday too, yeah.
Happy 82nd Macca!

Cheapest tickets for Manchester £148 – plus add ons – fuck off.
Paul don’t care too much for money…
Can’t Buy Me Love at those prices.

Yikes. Thought I read somewhere there were 30 pound options. Slight chance I could be in UK around there time, but don’t think I will bother

Given that Macca is now apparently more likely to croak than sing the lyrics,
The Frog Chorus might make a worthy addition to his setlist
You mean We All Stand Together? Doesn’t have many words so that could help. It’s also a wonderful song.
Whatever gets him through the night*…
*Yes, I know
