A short time ago Craig Fortnam asked if I would be willing to make a piece of artwork to adorn the cover of his latest musical outpourings. I of course said I’d be delighted and honoured to contribute. So here it is.
It will be available for pre-order on Bandcamp from tomorrow Craig informs me.
Splendid.
Ta Hubes. 🙏
This, I am loving.
It’s most decidedly unbrown.
How Unburnt Sienna is it, I’m wondering. My computer tells me that Unburnt Sienna and even Raw Sienna are not that different in colour to good old Burnt Sienna. I’m guessing “Sienna” doesn’t come into its own opposite, colour-wise. (I also tried searching “Burnt Unsienna”, but that led nowhere.)
I made Craig this as well to give him options. It’s not really Burnt sienna in essence. It’s more of a Dark Orange.
Again, just beautiful. I’d be hard pressed to choose, but gun to head would agree with Craig’s choice.
It’s a toughie. I would have used both, front and back. I like the rusty steampunk vibe of the shit brown one, and the Festival Of Britain mural vibe of the not shit brown one, equally.
Ahem. Dark orange.
Autumnal is what it is.
Great works both as per, P.
Ta Moosey. 🙏
Beautiful
You called? *simper*
Sensational.
Thanks Col. ✌
Swiss movement. That’s exquisite.
Diolch yn fawr Foxy. 🙏
I’ve often imagined album covers when seeing your work. This is superb. 👊
My mate Morgan (Super-size Art) has said something similar Dave. The opportunity arises rarely alas. My services are pretty cheaply obtained too.
I’ll give you a quid to do a new cover for My Beauty.
I’ll match you. lets make it happen!
I don’t get out of bed for less than £3.50.
Lovely. Adds to list of “albums I bought because of the cover art without hearing a note.”
Thinks Roxy, Country Life
Nice cover Did you get to hear the music ahead of the job Pencil?
A little of it. Craig has been releasing some the cuts as individual tracks over a period of time. I’ve listened to his previous released albums quite a lot. His excursions are available on Tidal and from his record company along with Bandcamp of course.
Wonderful stuff @pencilsqueezer, that is a lovely cover
Diolch. 🙏
Beautiful covers, really lovely
Thank you. Really most kind. ✌
Fantastic- really like it- and the typography too.
Thank you. I can’t lay claim to the typography, that was a contribution from somebody else. I like collaborative projects the mix of different perspectives often bear interesting fruit I find.
Wow…just Wow
Thank you so much. Most kind of you. ✌
Triffic! Hope Mr Fortnam has a sequel in the same series, sort of Lunar Two, Three etc etc
He hasn’t let anything slip. But…*cracks knuckles* I’m game.
*rubs fentonsteve’s thighs*
Stunning.
Diolch Beez. ✌
❤️
Splendid – I think the blue version wins the white carnation…
Thanks Fitter. 🙏
Beautiful.
Ta Mike. 🙏✌
Wow that’s fabulous. Well done both!
Thanks Twang. ✌
Gawjuss, P.
Ta Niallb. 🙏
I’m buying the vinyl and I have no record player.
Craig needs the sales if only to recoup my frankly eye-watering fee. 😉
Bandcamp Friday tomorrow, as well.

That’s a stunner. Well played.
Thanks Leeds 🙏
Brilliant, as always.
I’m seeing a Tintin style rocket at 9-10 o’ clock in the blue one – or am I hallucinating again?
Diolch Lo. It’s a free-ish world so you see exactly what you wish to see. Hallucinating is fun. I do it frequently. It’s cheaper than TV.
Up for orders this morning:

CD or download. Sadly no LP – that would look lovely in 12″ by 12″ format.
Thanks Steve. I’ve been shamelessly shilling it on that Twitter this morning. I hope Craig does well with it. He’s a lovely talented chap.
If anyone is interested in delving deeper into Mr Fortnam’s music a good place to start is with The North Sea Radio Orchestra a twenty strong collaboration of musicians formed in 2002 by Craig and his wife Sharron. Wonderful music. I recommend it.
I’ll be buying it – I also note that some of his co-musicians have played with bands I’ve been showing an interest in recently.
Nicky Baigent: with NSRO, William D Drake and Lost Crowns
Chloe Herington; with Knifeworld, and her own Vālve project
James Larcombe: with William D Drake and Admirals Hard
Good-o. You could also add Arch Garrison to that lot Fitter. Another one of Craig’s projects.
Very good – I’ll investigate further…
…and on that note, I’ll just leave this here – for KFD and other interested parties…
That’s beautiful, Peter.
Diolch Rob. Glad you dig it. 🙏
Splendid work, if I may add to the long list of superlatives.
Thanks Carl. Much appreciated 🙏
A quick heads up to let it be known that Lunar One A-sides is released into the wild on the morrow along with the download only pay as you like Lunar One B-sides. Start up those Bandcamp engines.
Hope y’all dig ’em.
Many thanks for the reminder, Mr P – A-sides previously ordered: but those B-sides will be downloaded in Stoke Towers later today! And I’ll have both variations of the fine ‘Squeezer cover! Huzzah!
Thanks Pencil! You’ve certainly brightened my evening with your new creations. I agree with Locust. The more I look, the more unexpected details I see.
The North Sea Radio Orchestra are superb.
Thanks KFD. I appreciate the kindness immensely. ✌️
