One for 70’s soft rock aficionados. If you have a cheese allergy, best leave now.
I draw your attention to SilverTwin, a band I discovered quite by accident, having been recommended Novelty Island (great, but more 60s/Nilsson vibe) who are supporting them. I’m not affiliated with them in any way but thought if you like any music in the ELO/Gilbert O’Sullivan/Supertramp/Wings arena, I think they’re well worth a listen. They play the Lexington in November, and I’m there with bells on.
Surely you mean “I’m there with eight bells on”?
Like that @TrypF , reminds me a bit of the band Pugwash. Might investigate further.
Listening to that, inspired me to go and see what Family of the Year had done recently.
A fine pop rock band who would not be out of place on a yacht.
Thanks for posting, TrypF – I have booked tickets to see them. The album sounds lush.
Deffo ELO vibes and a little bit High Llamas. Rather jolly.
Saw them last night and they were, I thought, fantastic. My missus reckoned they sounded like a cross between Squeeze and ELO, to which I replied: “I told you they were good!”.
10/10 will see again.
