A monumental figure in music here in Ireland. Staged many huge acts at Slane Castle over the years. I was a regular attendee during the eighties – Lizzy, Bruce, Bowie, Dylan. And again for Oasis in 2013(?).

RIP Lord H.
While I never went to Slane, he was played a pivotal role in evolving Ireland from the sleepy backwater it was during the showband era of the 60s and 70s and into the huge magnet it is for top artists, today.
Pretty sure he if not bred then at least shared my passion for Irish Water Spaniels, a 35Kgs specimen of the breed is currently pinioning my left foot below my writing deskl
