Hopefully this might be of interest to people here who like music from the 1970s. I’ve always wanted to hear music from that time, but not the “gold” stuff you hear on the Now that’s compilations. So each mix compiles 3 songs from each year from 1970 to 1976, comprising of album tracks, A and B sides, and the occasional lesser known hit. My tastes are quite bubblegum, so expect Bowie, Zappa and Fairport rubbing shoulders with Abba, Cliff and Benny Hill. So far I’ve compiled 66 hour long mixes for all to enjoy.

Nice… good idea!
Ooooh, this sounds great. Tracklisting pleeeeease!!
Fooled Around And Fell In Love. Yes! AWESOME choice!
I remember buying that in 1976, just before punk took off, along with Ted Nugent’s ‘Hey Baby’ and Les Dudek’s ‘City Magic.’ And guess where I first heard ’em? That’s right. On John Peel’s show.
Perfect- those two tracks are going on the next mix. 1975 and 76 have been a bit of a struggle
and here it is
Not being a fan of Santana’s latin odysseys, I struggled through track 1 – but the rest of it is going in the car.
It’s not possible to listen to Dr Feelgood without turning the volume up, and that is one fine Bad Company track
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll fix that and re-upload. I hadn’t listened to the Run with the Pack album before, and it was a nice surprise. I agree re: Santana, but I have a funny memory of a school mate screwing up his face, Carlos-style to that track.
Not a problem with the sound level, just an involuntary reaction on my part when hearing the Feelgoods.
Turn it up to 11
Ah, good to know! Another good Feelgood track I put in Part 22 – “another man”, following … er …a Mud B-side. Mixcloud obligingly provides a fast forward button.
This sounds fab – I love a mixtape. If I don’t get a tracklist though it will drive me bonkers. For example what is playing at c 1:04? I’ve just randomly opened it at that point ( I also read newspapers back to front)
That’s the James Last Orchestra with a few members of the Crusaders. I’ll post the tracklist when I’m home. There’s an obliging fellow who put track listings in the comments in Mixcloud.
