Mano Negra were my favourite Franch band, but LNV came a very close second.

What a magnificently joyous racket they made! Elements from so many different musical styles all mixed together. They still sound wonderful!

I’ve just found out they played Islington in September, but it was Mrs F’s birthday and she has a rampant dislike of LNV, and of Mano Negra, so I’d have had a hard time convincing her for a pass. I now wish I didn’t know!

I really liked the first album Mlah. I saw them a few times too. I don’t actually remember anything after the first album. I did consider going to see them in Islington, but the Academy is not a venue I’m very fond of. They don’t sell any decent beer and the last time I was there was to see Cory Henry I was the oldest person there in a packed hall and felt out of place. I would consider seeing them at a better venue.
Zobi La Mouche was my favourite track.

They definitely dipped after Helno’s death, the first two albums were best, but I thought they found their feet again after a while.
