I am a lifelong Labour supporter but this issue troubles me. If they are institutionally anti-Semitic then I would want to be supporting someone else.
Each article I have read on either side of the issue carries with it a chorus of righteousness that I can’t be doing with. I know that Corbyn has long been an opponent of the actions of the Israeli government – and he wouldn’t be alone there – so what is it that makes Labour and him anti-Semitic?
I know what you’re going to say – he met with and talked to terrorist X and terrorist Y. But didn’t Winston Churchill himself say “jaw jaw – not war war”? We only achieved a peace in NI after talking to all sides, after all.
I know the issue is a powder keg but I sincerely want to know why an MP would resign on this issue . I think this is a safe place to discuss it, I hope.
In summary I can’t support Labour if they are anti-semitic. They say they’re not- so…
