    Luck of the draw.

    I placed all the solutions I could think (6) of on separate pieces of paper and placed them in a bowl and picked out the right one. Definitely the luck of the draw.

    • Somewhere up there Lodes gave a clue to a word by writing “running down a dream” when the word was PETTY. This is why me and the Aussies sometimes suffer because there we are with our sincere and pure opening gambits only to find that once the northern hemmo eventually pile in they are giving each other so many nods and winks, it’s like being at an agricultural auction.

      I hope he gave himself a thorough and fully invasive cavity search after that. Or someone else did (I’m not doing it).

      • The Rule is supposed to be – “Don’t look at the thread till you done The Wordle” so my “Running down a dream” would have meant nothing unless your name is Baron RayX or whatever psuedodynm he’s using today…
