Joe Egan, half of Stealers Wheel and co-writer of Stuck in the Middle with You, has died at the age of 77. I hope Gerry Rafferty is bearing up OK.

He had a great voice too.
It occurred to be that Stuck in the Middle With You might be the one song that absolutely everybody likes (at least a bit). It’s just so singable and relatable. Rafferty did it again with Baker Street.
Doubt that bloke who had his ear cut off in Reservoir Dogs has much time for it

I do love Intervention Records but their prices in the UK have gone nuts recently. I quite fancy a Judee Sill album, but not at 75 quid!
Is that due to shipping charges ? I have bought a couple of SACDs from them and the shipping was very high.
I’ve thought before that it would be an ideal partnership for an independent review label like Intervention to tie up with the SDE shop for UK / Europe distribution to reduce shipping. So if anyone knows the guy that runs SDE…….

Re getting up the ladder – wasn’t that former Lindisfarne singer, Rod Hull who was told to do so by the garishly attired Gyles Brandreth
I do believe it was ALLEGEDLY Gyles Brandreth who ALLEGEDLY murdered Rod Hull, yes. He probably ALLEGEDLY murdered some other ventriloquists too if that was, like, his “thing”.
Poor Lodey shouldn’t really be getting up any ladders, whether sober or as normal, as he’s suffering from an ear disfigurement and the brain’s hearing nerve is dead close to its balance nerve. Shame on Mrs L for suggesting as much, I say.
Edit. I’ve just looked up who Gyles Brandreth is and would like to make it clear that he is someone who has clearly never murdered a ventriloquist in his life. Unlike some people I could mention.
