Nu Country singer songwriter (and stand up comedian according to his bio )has a rather fine new album out. I’ve liked his stuff in the past but his new album Misfits Jubilie is a bobby dazzler and no mistake. so if you like a bit of all types of music, both country and western then give him a spin.

Have been a big fan of his in the past – No Such place and Wrong eyed Jesus being my favourites. Thanks for the recommendation – will check it out.
Thanks for the tip, I will also give it a listen.
I’ve enjoyed his previous stuff. A quirky talent who goes his own way.
Another vote for No Such Place. This one has been picking up terrific reviews so have just ordered a copy
It’s a brilliant album. And his video for Divided States of America is peak topical this evening:
I saw him supporting Sexy Ronsmith and he was excellent.
Saw him at the O2 Academy in Islington (I think it was called the Carling Academy in those days), a bit after “No Such Place” was released and had a chat with him after. Nice friendly guy and a good gig. He had brought a small band over for a few scattered UK gigs.
I saw him again a few years later at the Jazz Café in Camden, again with a band. Not quite so good the second time. He seemed rather tired and a bit down.
