As it’s a quiet day on the blog, I thought I would post this. I was most interested to note that he shares his work method with Nick Cave. Two of my favourite songwriters, both go to work each day.

This is one of my favourites of his.
Also, I’d like to apologise for the post title – it was a placeholder that I forgot to change. It won’t happen again.

I’ll check it out. I haven’t really kept up with Wilco, but fans might like this extract from his book.

Finest songwriter on the planet (maybe), I post about Wilco a lot, but Tweedy has now had a 30 year career of extraordinary consistency, and as he gets older he has become more prolific.
If there is a better live band than Wilco then I want to see them! Last gigs i saw remain them in hometown Chicago “Winterfest” last December, great ones to enter lockdown with and hopefully there will be another few in 2021.

He discusses his prolificness [is that a word?] in the article. He puts it down to treating it like a job, set time aside and just make it happen. The results are anything but workaday. Probably one of two or three bands I’d actively want to see live.

I enjoyed that. Been going off Wilco lately, I found the last album a bit so-so maybe I’ll give it a few listens along with ‘Warm/Warmer’ before the new solo album is released.

It is released (sort of). Natural Disaster is an absolute banger. Surprisingly for a lockdown album it is much more upbeat than last 3 albums he made (inc Wilco)

It’s been on rotation at Chateau Wrongness for the last couple of weeks. Contender for Album of the Year.
