If J D Vance is al Cnut what does that make Hegseth? It’s a low bar but I think he takes the biscuit.
Hegseth is a pound shop Vance, but without the political skills or the thin veneer of respectability. By all accounts he is a nasty piece of work, who should have by rights, been left to presenting the weather in a tiny regional television station. He’s not fit to be picking rubbish from Omaha beach let alone addressing a group of D Day veterans and spewing out acrid nonsense about hordes of brown men, invading Europe with murderous intent.

I guess commenting on how awful things are in another country is something all politicians do in order to show how much better things are in their own country.
But I still think that Trump and his cronies are taking it much too far with the way they offer support to far-right politicians in Europe.

I was watching a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode recently and Larry used the C word, naturally in an inappropriate situation. I don’t know if it’s true but he said that the origin of its usage is it is aimed at a man acting in an unmanly fashion. I did not know that (if true), whether that applies to Vance is, I guess, open to debate

I don’t hear anybody countering Reform’s cold rage with support for the Sikh community. Sikhs have fought for Britain with extraordinary bravery in two world wars and during partition. They have more than earned their place in British history and the right to live here.
