Obituary
Aged 86. I can remember reading about harmolodics and remaining confused. But when I listened to JBU, it sounded like a slightly more structured free jazz, with a big dose of blues and funk on top.
I liked it.

First thing I heard by him was this…
Very hard to categorise
Luckily, we don’t need to…
I loved his guitar playing, and his sense of freedom – some wild noise. I have often played “Are You Glad To Be In America ?” when DJing – it’s a belter.
His blues stuff was good, too
Some wild noise, indeed.
“Are You Glad to be in America?” is indeed an ace album and killer track.
