I’m having one of those days where everything confuses me and I am struggling to comment on any thread here because I don’t really know what I think about anything. I don’t mind the Queen, I’m not sure what I feel about vitamin supplements and i still don’t really know how to spell Django Reinhardt properly without looking it up.
So I’m just going off on a completely different tangent and reminding you all that Close To The Edge by Yes was released 50 years ago today.

Probably their best, although some days I feel that Relayer at least matches it. My view is probably coloured, as CTTE was the first properly progressive music I had heard – and also the first Yes album that I owned.
Yes it is, still bloody brilliant, still takes me to Another Place when needed (ie being 13yo and having no worries).

Unfortunately it is unwatchable as the audio is awful – muffled back of the room under a greatcoat quality, and worst of all it’s miles out of sync with the picture.

I know, it’s poor, isn’t it? Surely it needs the remix treatment.
The movie sound always seemed much worse than the LPs at the time.
