I bought my copy of Nothing Has Changed at Sainsbury’s using my doubled-up Nectar points. Therefor cost me zilch. Still wrapped (pension). The chap on the checkout asked me what it was.

Me – “It is an LP”
Him – *blank looks*
Me – “Vinyls?”
Him – “Oh!”
It took me ages to find the display. Silly me expected it to be in the entertainment section. It was near the front of store with other household essentials.

The only Beatles CDs, aside from “1,” I have ever seen in Sainsbury’s are also “Sgt. Pepper’s” and “Abbey Road.”
I wonder if the perceived ‘best’ or already huge selling albums will gradually get bigger and sell yet more, and the likes of “Beatles For Sale” and “Let It Be” will be side-lined?

Through another website I’m involved with I regularly get emails from people offering to sell ‘Vynals’ -grrrrr
There currently 133 items on eBay at this moment in time when you search for “vynal”. Only 30 of those are for vynal records. However there are 135 listings for vynil records. Often a good way to pick up a bargain. See also Disny/Dinsey. Or 82 listings for The Beetles in recorded music section.
